Ae MeMBerS ON ThE mOvE Emeka Ene, a member of nsBe’s indianapolis, ind. Alumni chapter, has been hired as a test engineer in the product Assessment Group of cummins inc. in this position, he is responsible for testing and providing support for engines in the u.s., india and china. ene received his Bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering last year from the Ohio state university, where he had been a dedicated member of the nsBe chapter since 2006. He served as parliamentarian on the chapter’s executive board in 2009 and was nsBe region iv membership chair in his final year of college. ene lives and works in columbus, ind. Bianca Brown, now in her second term as nsBe’s national Alumni extension collegiate initiative chair, was recruited and has been hired by the company as a reliability supplier Quality improvement engineer in indianapolis, ind. Brown, an Ohio native, is responsible for applying statistical and reliability tools to analyze and report on existing component reliability and warranty issues. she also works to resolve supplier quality issues and implement reliability improvement plans. she earned her bachelor’s degree in industrial and systems engineering in 2003 from wright state university and her master’s in engineering and management from case western reserve university. she has served in leadership positions in nsBe–Ae since 2007. Strauder c. Patton IV, p.e., nsBe’s national Alumni extension chair, was recently promoted to senior civil/structural discipline leader with cH2M HiLL. His promotion included a job transfer to denver, colo., the location of cH2M HiLL’s world headquarters. in his new role, patton will supervise the civil and structural project teams in programs and projects representing energy and chemical customers across the country. He is also actively involved with the firm as a steering committee director for its African American Affinity Group, HArAMBee, and was instrumental in securing cH2M HiLL’s membership on nsBe’s Board of corporate Affiliates for 2011–12. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from the university of Kansas and is a registered professional engineer in colorado, Kansas, nevada, texas, utah and west virginia. nsBe officer Ivy L. White has accepted a position as a buyer with the interior purchasing group of toyota Motor engineering & Manufacturing north America operations, in northern Kentucky. in this position, she oversees new Model sourcing, production pricing negotiations and supplier relations on her deck. white, this year’s national secretary for nsBe–Ae, was recruited by toyota from Honda, where she was a senior buyer. A native of columbus, Ohio, she served as president of nsBe’s central Ohio Alumni extension from 2007 to 2010, leading the group to regional Alumni chapter of the year titles in each year of her tenure. she has also served as regional secretary and regional programs chair for nsBe–Ae in the past. white graduated from the Ohio state university in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in industrial and systems engineering. 70 • CAREER ENGINEER • winter 2011/12 • www.nsbe.org http://www.nsbe.org
