David Marshall SMITH Married, 50 Hardware Engineer California David is not exactly a computer technology historian, but he remembers when “sneaker net” was the way to share data — walking floppy disks point to point. Now he has a patent “network switch having a hybrid switch architecture” and works on the forefront of technology, responsible for the code design of computer chips used in switches. David is a man of eclectic tastes from wine tasting in Napa Valley and listening to jazz to leading spin classes and exploring African history and culture.
