By day Kara’s a stickler for precision and oversees raw material quality for the high volume slurry division serving the semiconductor market. Over 30 different raw materials are used to make the custom lubricants and Kara evaluates and grades the vendor quality systems based on ISO standards. Staying Fit: She stays lean and stress-free as a runner and participates in breast cancer awareness fundraising events. Staying positive and being confidently decisive help Kara persevere through adversity — lessons she learned from her parents. She stays close to her Jamaica/Tobago roots, visiting the islands yearly. Doing Good: Kara supports Junior Achievement because it offers children important life lessons.
