Top 50 EN G I N EE R S Antonio Rey TEXIDOR Single, 30 Conceptual Design Engineer MTU Aero Engines Connecticut Jim Coon Studio Whether he’s working on cars, motorcycles, or planes, Antonio is a handsome, sleek mechanical engineer built for speed. At MTU Aero Engines Antonio project manages the engineering services for structural design improvements — military fuel tanker engines and the Airbus A300200, commercial airliner engine. Antonio’s breadth of experience in the industry positions him well for an engineering management position in the future. Risk-taker: He’s a moto- and autocross enthusiast. Challenged to follow his dream, Antonio started racing in college and took a break in his corporate climb to attend the NASCAR Technical Institute by day, while working as an engineer by night. Antonio was once a member of North Carolina’s Triad Sports Car Club. Keeping Fit: Antonio enjoys soccer, basketball and running.
