Coviello, Jr. Executive Vice President | EMC Corporation President | RSA, The Security Division of EMC Warrantless Wiretapping Panel — All’s Fair in War? The New York Times revelations about warrantless domestic wiretapping by the U.S. Federal Government spawned numerous editorials discussing the legality of the program, adequacy of administration briefings to members of Congress and the role of FISA. Going behind the political debate on this issue, the panel will focus on the technology necessary for surveillance, how it might be legally constrained, as well as the technology for privacy enhancements and what the current law requires. This moderated debate, with legal experts at the epicenter of this controversy, will challenge your notions of freedom with a nation battling a non-traditional war on terror. Art Coviello is responsible for RSA’s strategy and day-to-day operations as it delivers EMC’s global vision of information-centric security. Coviello was Chief Executive Officer of RSA Security prior to its acquisition by EMC in 2006. He joined RSA Security in 1995 and was a driving force in its rapid growth. Under his stewardship, RSA became acknowledged as the de facto standard for two-factor authentication and encryption, and as a leader in identity and access management. 8:45 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. John W.
