NYLON - February 2009 - (Page 30) par avion dear nylon, I have been a fan of your magazine for about nine years now, and I just wanted to praise your creativity. You have always shown that fashion is art and that art comes in many forms, and have featured new and bright people who are making their dreams a reality. You have inspired so many people to have the courage not only to wear what they love but to be daring, and to always remember to have fun. So congrats on being an awesome example. Shine on! CHRISTINE MUÑOZ NEW YORK, NY dear nylon, I enjoy reading your magazine. You never cease to amaze me with your articles about the latest music, fashion, and photography. Thank you for your taste in everything awesomely sweet. Though I love reading your magazine, I am quite disappointed by how there are barely any articles on how curvy women can dress their bodies without looking disproportioned. I wish you would open your mind to different body shapes. But other than that, your magazine is always lovely. DAIENY CHIN VIA E-MAIL dear nylon, I really wanted to thank you for “Brooklyn Bands” (“Country’s Finest,” November ’08). I’m not from Brooklyn, but as a firm believer in local music (I hail from San Diego, home of Grand Ole Party and Get Back Loretta), reading all about the local scene in Brooklyn made me smile. Thanks for recognizing the bands because I know they all deserve it. You should consider featuring local music scenes from all over the country in future issues!
