I was in Cape Town at the supermarket with my grandmother when a photographer came up to me and said he worked with Storm, and wrote his number on a slip. WERE YOU SKEPTICAL AT FIRST? I’m laid back, kind of like a tomboy. WHO IS YOUR STYLE ICON? I defi nitely need an iPod, a good lip balm, a hoodie, and my computer. I also need to wear sweatpants on the plane. WHAT ARE THE BEST AND WORST THINGS ABOUT BEING A MODEL? Boy George WHAT’S ON YOUR IPOD? My grandmother told me not to believe him, but I went home and told my family and my uncle was like, “You need to do it.” So we went in, and they took Polaroids, and I got signed. Three months later, I was in London. WHAT DID YOU WANT TO BE BEFORE YOU STARTED MODELING? Metallica, Pearl Jam, Modest Mouse, and Eagles of Death Metal. I like rock ’n’ roll and indie rock. WHAT WAS THE LAST CONCERT YOU WENT TO? The Bonnaroo music festival WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE KARAOKE SONG? I love Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit.” WHAT INSPIRES YOU? One good thing is that I get to travel to amazing places and get free bags and shoes. But the downside is that I never know where I am going to be so I can’t plan ahead, which sucks.
