NYLON - April 2009 - (Page 48) par avion -MISSY E L L I O T , s e p t e m b e r / o c t o b e r 1 9 9 9 dear nylon, dear nylon, Peaches Geldof has great taste in movies! Her list in April’s issue [“Affairs to Remember”], however, was incomplete. The perfect way to celebrate Valentine’s Day is to watch any film with French actor Louis Garrel. LEANN NORMANSEN JACKSON, MI Your super-sweet self has inspired me in so many ways. For one, you’ve taught me to find fashion in everything—even vinyl records, which I turn into bracelets. Long live NYLON! KOKO SARAH PYTLIK OXFORD, OH dear nylon, I was so disappointed to see NYLON’s promotion of greyhound racing in last month’s En Route travel section [“Invisible City,” December/January ’09]. Last year 400 young, healthy dogs were euthanized at the Macau track because they were no longer profitable as racers. The spread of this “sport” to Asia is a dreary prospect to those of us who have seen the effects of the industry on these gentle dogs. KEELI MCCARTHY ANN ARBOR, MI dear nylon, I read NYLON each month for inspiration in music and fashion, and February didn’t disappoint. Holy Hail’s song “Big Guns” [“Sacred Songs”] is now playing on repeat, much to the annoyance of my neighbors. Too bad for them!
