NYLON inspires me to think for myself in a city filled with Coach bags, Uggs, and North Face jackets—because that’s about the extent of the personal style here in Troy. I’m sick of blending in, I’m ready to stand out! Yesterday, in an impulsive moment, I cut my hair. See, this is a big deal for me because I’ve always wanted bangs but I’m afraid I’ll shave my head by accident, but voila! Basically, thanks for being you and if you ever change…it will suck. I have this plan to move to New York after high school. I’m very aware that I’m not the first one to have this idea but I think I’m different and I seriously am going to get there. I want to meet as many interesting people as I can and have as many cool experiences as possible in my life and anyone who doubts I will is vastly mistaken. It seems fitting that the soundtrack to this letter was some Nirvana, the Cure, and “To Be Surprised” by Sondre Lerche. Thank you thank you!
