NYLON - September 2008 - (Page 140) There is a lot to love about the HBO show Big Love. There is the stellar cast list, which includes the brilliant but oftoverlooked character actors Harry Dean Stanton, as the terrifying prophet Roman, and Grace Zabriskie—known to David Lynch devotees as Sarah Palmer—as crotchety Lois Henrickson; plenty of indulging in pleasures of the flesh (it seems that Mormons do, in fact, do it better); and countless interesting never-before-seen-on-television insights into the polygamist lifestyle. But Big Love’s biggest draw just might be Chloë Sevigny’s hair. Her silky blonde tresses are most often woven into a tight French braid which reaches halfway down the back of her Gunne Sax dresses. Add some backcombing at the crown for a little extra elevation and you have the perfect polygamist ’do. And with fashion heading in a demure direction this fall, shouldn’t your hair follow suit?
