SUNY Orange Viewbook - (Page 23) LIBERAL ARTS AND SCIENCES/TRANSFER DEGREES Jointly Registered Teacher Education Program (JRTEP) (A.A. & A.S.) These Associate in Arts and Associate in Science degree programs are a jointly registered liberal arts/teacher education program with Orange County Community College and SUNY New Paltz, approved by the New York State Education Department, for the benefit of students who plan to teach at the Birth through 12 grade levels. Students must choose to concentrate in the Birth to Second Grade (B-2), First to Sixth Grade (1-6) levels, or Seventh to Twelfth (7-12) levels. Upon successful completion of the A.A. or A.S. degree at SUNY Orange, students may transfer to SUNY New Paltz with full junior standing in order to complete the Bachelor's degree. Admission to New Paltz is guaranteed, upon successful completion of the New Paltz application process.
