ORLANDO SUSTAINABILITY The Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) exemplifies its commitment to environmental stewardship and is nationally recognized for its green initiatives, social responsibility and long-term environmental impact on the community. We are proud to highlight the following accomplishments and look forward to establishing effective partnerships that will continue the Center of Hospitality's commitment to the triple bottom line - social, environmental, and economic balance. * The OCCC received the certification for Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) for its existing buildings. * The OCCC is the 1st convention center in the United States to receive ISO certification for the implementation of an Environmental Management System (EMS). * The OCCC has become the third convention center in the world to be certified to a new international sustainability standard. The Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) works closely with event organizers and guests to support and execute green events, procedures, and efforts. As a USGBC Green Destination Pilot Participant, we are dedicated to increasing the overall sustainability of the convention district as a whole. In addition, the Sustainability Coordinator is on-site, managing all in-house sustainability efforts and assisting with any client needs or requests.
