To me, fragmented markets mean opportunities to gain market
share. When I see a long line of people at one door, I look for the alternative entrance. When people go left, I like to go right.
Many of the big brands are playing it safe-and looking old.
Fear is a little stinker. Through meditation, I learned that fear is an
illusion we create but danger is real. Knowing the difference between
the two is important.
Companies with limited resources joining together on mindful
programs amplify their individual impacts and they can make a big,
collaborative difference.

My vanity license plate is TRUEKID. I'll always be a kid at heart.
The outdoor industry isn't just predominately white: It's predominately white and male.
If government officials vote or behave in a way that seems to oppose
outdoor recreation on public lands, then it is up to us, the people who
voted them in, to exercise our constitutional right to remove them with
our votes.

grounding in mindfulness and meditation practice. Oh, and his experience: Now running his own consulting business specializing in brand
development, Thrasher has spent over 30 years in the action sports and
outdoor industries. He's designed, developed, and marketed product
at legendary surf/lifestyle brands including O.P., Quiksilver, Globe,
Billabong, and Roxy. Since 2009, he's developed a close relationship
with prAna, where he has both added to and learned from the wisdom
of the brand's founders Pam and Beaver Theodosakis. An inspirational
coach, snowboarder, yogi, and unassuming guru of style and function,
he's developed a sense of how the outdoor industry can evolve.
