CANADA'S BEST I N PA C K A G E D G O O D S O O H By Rosanne Caron TORONTO - The Out-of-Home Marketing Association of Canada (OMAC) announced the winners of the best OOH campaigns in the consumer packaged-goods category at a recent industry gala. The winners went through a two-stage judging process. The OOH entries were first looked at by a panel of industry judges including Claude Carrier from DentsuBos, Anthony Chelvanathan from Leo Burnett, Nancy Crimi-Lamanna from BBDO and Jon Webber from Zulu Alpha Kilo. The finalists then went on to be tested by the BrandSpark Canadian Shopper Panel, who judged the ads based on their ability to communicate the intended message. Performance metrics included brand recognition, main message, ad likability and ad relevance. The winning campaigns demonstrate the importance of having a focused message with strong and clear branding to leverage the communication power of OOH. contributors from our 11 | out of home magazine | september | october 2014
