Business SCHOOL Inhuman Resources Where’d your résumé go? The bots got it! BY LISA HOLTON A T ONE OF the more dismal points in her 18-month-long job search, one of my laidoff New York pals, an experienced finance executive, called me late in the evening. Barely saying hello, she launched into a rant. “OK, I’m perfect for this job. Really perfect.” She described the position. She was, in fact, perfect for it. “So I went to their website and filled out the application,” she said breathlessly. “That took about an hour because it crashed once, and even though I attached my résumé, they wanted me to fill in all that stuff again.” As I began to sympathize, she cut me off. “I haven’t gotten to the best part.
