I can't thank your readers enough for the generosity and kindness they have shown. With their help, we have been able to hire Amanda, previously our Chief Volunteer, as our first full-time employee. I have even received requests to share our message at events around the country. Additionally, our inbox is full of hundreds of messages from folks who have read the article. Many of these messages include stories about how the person read it while flying across the country to fulfill a promise. At this very moment, I find myself in the same place. I am typing this while aboard a Southwest flight to Sacramento, where my grandma is in intensive care. I will be there for her in her time of need. Too often we rush to buy plane tickets to see someone die, but not to see them live. It's days like today that make you think about how you spend your life.
