SPIRIT OF NEW MEXICO
RISE AND
SHINE
SIP
In 2013, the total number of gallons
of craft beer made in New Mexico
surpassed 65,000 barrels, and Santa Fe
Brewing Co. is a major player in this
buzzing scene. With distribution
currently throughout nine states (with
more in the works), New Mexico's oldest microbrewery also invites thirsty
patrons to stop by either of their two
Santa Fe area tasting rooms for a sample of favorites like the caramel-andchocolate-flavored State Pen Porter.
Swing by on a Saturday afternoon for
tours of the brewery, topped off with a
sample, of course.

Or take Izanami, a 6-month-old eatery
currently a semifinalist for "Best New
Restaurant." Located at Ten Thousand
Waves spa, this upscale, Japanese-style
tavern serves standbys and unique
creations like tofu dengaku, all under
the watchful eye of chef Kim Müller.
