He created a pair of ears out of fourby-fours, glued blocks of wood together for the body, and continued carving for three months. When he finished, the animal weighed 70 pounds and had a dignified charm, with nothing goofy or cartoonish about him. Scott loved him and couldn't help but call his creation by name: "Rabbit."
