hen her 11-year
marriage ended,
Nancy Adams, a
mother of two in Wentzville, Mo., was able to find
the perfect "mom-friendly"
job as a nurse at her children's
elementary school. The
trade-off for the former
oncology nurse was a much
smaller paycheck that has left
her searching for a way to
right the ship financially.
Saddled with nearly $54,000
in student loans and $10,000
in credit card debt, Adams is
living paycheck to paycheck,
"constantly worried and
stressed out about finances."
Adams, 40, says that she
often has to send bill
payments based on when she
gets paid to make sure there's
enough money in her
account. "I am tired of living
like that; I'd like to be able
to go on a little vacation and
pay down some of my debt.
