A signature lobby centerpiece, the bouquet hints at the experience awaiting guests at Windsor Court: elegant, classic, and downright indulgent. One of the only hotels in the Big Easy to have nabbed both the AAA Four Diamond and Forbes Four Star awards, the 23-story Windsor Court is the grande dame of New Orleans hotels (she recently received a $22 million face-lift). An impressive 261 of the 316 rooms are suites, and all are equipped with free Wi-Fi. For total luxury, guests can dip into the 10,000-squarefoot rooftop pool, or go regal with the Triple Crown, a head-to-toe pressure-point massage offered at the Spa at Windsor Court. Though only a beignet’s toss from the French Quarter, a classic English style sets the tone at this Preferred Hotels & Resorts property. The walls are swathed in original paintings by Reynolds, Gainsborough, and Huysman, and afternoon tea at Le Salon offers 26 loose-leaf varieties served with scones on Wedgwood china. While British in tenor, Windsor Court still revels in its New Orleans roots. Hear live music nightly at The Grill Room, one of only three Four Star, Four Diamond restaurants in Louisiana. The menu features executive chef Kristin Butterworth’s contemporary Southern cuisine — think Chappapeela Farm Suckling Pork Chops, Spring Salmon Ravioli, and Roaring Forties Brûlée. And for even more live music and local ﬂavor, head to Cocktail Bar at Windsor Court, opened in 2012.
