including four consecutive Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championships.
To preserve its mission of empowering students
to compete successfully in any environment,
Tuskegee recently established a research foundation for raising funds and promoting innovation,
and also launched the largest capital campaign in
its history. Known as Programmed for Excellence,
the campaign seeks to raise $250 million for improving facilities, enhancing academic programs,
and funding scholarships.
Rochon says the campaign is key to ensuring
Tuskegee continues “helping our students unveil
the greatness within them.” Setting such high
standards is simply part of the Tuskegee tradition,
he adds. “Tuskegee University’s illustrious history
and distinguished contemporary accomplishments deserve a continued and accelerated
upward trajectory toward a globally preeminent

truly historic and groundbreaking,” says Tuskegee
President Dr. Gilbert L. Rochon. “STEM education and research at Tuskegee has been catapulted
to a new plateau.”
The university also teams up with private industry and government agencies. Together, they
