Chatting with a Frequent Flyer As a senior executive at Sixt International, a global rental-car company, Regine Sixt visits more than 100 countries a year, making her a quintessential road warrior. How often do you travel? At least four times a week, mostly to visit our 105 countries. The US Airways Club and all Star Alliance lounges are my living rooms, and planes are my offices and bedrooms. And I love it! What is your favorite part of flying? Being in the air gives me the chance to get a lot of work done and to also disconnect from my busy schedule. No phone calls, no incoming emails, no interruptions — it’s perfect. I enjoy relaxing in my seat, sipping a glass of Champagne, and reading a nice book or my favorite magazine. Do you have a favorite airport? Regine’s Travel Tip IT’S IMPORTANT TO ALWAYS PACK A SUIT IN YOUR CARRYON THAT’S APPROPRIATE FOR THE CLIMATE OF THE ARRIVAL CITY. JFK is my favorite and most despised. Probably because when I land there I’m arriving in my favorite city in the world, and when I leave it’s the other way around. What are the most important items in your suitcase? My iPad and my electric curlers, which I use right after landing so I can look glamorous during my long workdays! Do you work, read, or sleep during flights? can read the latest books, which I load into my Kindle. Every now and then I watch one of those blockbuster movies that I never have the chance to see. What’s your favorite vacation destination? I normally read.
