The image of a dry, dusty desert just doesn't hold up when you consider the state has 128 lakes and rivers - including the mighty Colorado. Coupled with a mild climate year round, Arizona is the ideal destination for water adventures from kayaking to houseboating to rafting. On the shoreline of the Colorado River in western Arizona, Lake Havasu boasts 60 continuous miles of lake and river waterways. While the lake is known as the "Jet Ski Capital of the World," Havasu is also ideal for diving into dining and nightlife right on the water.
