Open the doors and you’re transported to what feels like the mountaintops of Switzerland, where the luxury La Prairie skin-care line was founded. Walls of faceted glass and quartzite mask the soothing sounds of falling waters and a rushing river, which flows beneath a floor of sleek translucent glass. The spa’s design is both modern and minimal. Features include silvery luminescent walls, sleek chaises, and soft, white carpeting — all of which provide a respite from the powerful Caribbean sun. The Highlight: The La Prairie Caviar Massage. The fact that all of the spa’s treatments use La Prairie’s highly celebrated skin-care products makes this place a standout. The main area is the pièce de résistance; it features two therapeutic waterfall pools, a warm mineral pool, and a lap pool with 6,500 fiber-optic stars glittering overhead. Best of all, each of the ten pools is chlorine-free and mineralbased (containing sodium, potassium, magnesium, and zinc) to promote healthy circulation and healing.
