as it has for more than 85 years.

Of course, much has changed in those decades.
On the sidewalk below, the Walk of Fame has
added countless new stars; just across the street
at the Dolby Theatre, the Oscars ceremony has
rolled out the red carpet for generations; and
next door, TCL Chinese Theatre has premiered
the very best in film. But all along, one thing has
remained the same - the glamour.
Hollywood Heritage
Since 1927, the Roosevelt has sounded its siren
song to movie legends. Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks helped to fund the hotel, laying
the groundwork for glitz. Marilyn Monroe's
breakthrough photographs were snapped as
she laughed poolside. And it was a favorite local
haunt of celebrities such as Elizabeth Taylor,
Clark Gable, and Charlie Chaplin.
