Their culture permeates the resort, and there’s no better way to experience it than by dining here. Executive Chef Conor Favre oversees all culinary aspects of the resort. He also leads a team of chefs to build a database of ingredients connected to the Pima and Maricopa People. These chefs are hard at work researching history, listening to stories from elders, and spending time with local ethnobotanists. “The culinary story of the Pima and Maricopa People is a legacy with deep roots, a promising future, and one that imparts a truly profound sense of place,” says Mark Sneen, resort manager. At Kai, the signature restaurant, diners experience Native American heritage in everything from the food to the decor.
