US Airways - March 2014 - (Page 6)

Perspective embark Thank You for Flying with US A New World of Choices ★ For many of us, March means that frigid temperatures and snowy days will soon be gone and we can look forward to pleasant spring weather. If you're planning your spring break or summer vacation, thinking about your next business trip, or maybe even heading to a March Madness basketball game, you'll be happy to know we're providing you with seamless, convenient access to a number of new destinations with the launch of a codeshare between American Airlines and US Airways that allows each airline to sell seats on flights operated by the other airline. Although we closed our merger in December, American Airlines and US Airways will continue to operate as two separate carriers for some time. Through our codeshare, you can book travel for flights operated by either carrier and easily combine flights operated by each airline on a single itinerary. This provides you with easy access to more than 330 destinations in more than 50 countries, improved schedule options, and even more opportunities to earn miles. Customers who book their travel through American now have greater schedule options to cities throughout the East Coast, and the ability to reach new international destinations like Amsterdam and Venice through US Airways codeshare flights. Likewise, customers who book their tickets through US Airways now have convenient access to exciting destinations, including Tokyo and Milan, and domestic cities such as Oklahoma City and Green Bay through American codeshare flights. 6 MARCH 2014 usairwaysmag.com Members of the AAdvantage and Dividend Miles frequent flyer programs will also earn miles on codeshare flights operated by either carrier, and travel on those flights will count toward elite status qualification. More exciting changes are on the horizon as US Airways joins the oneworld alliance at the end of the month, giving you access to even more destinations around the world through a vast global network of the world's leading airlines. As we continue to provide you with benefits as a combined airline, we want to be sure that you have all the tools you need for the best travel experience possible. If you're looking for more information on your upcoming travel experience, visit the Find Your Way website, aa.com/ findyourway and usairways.com/findyourway, which offers key day-of-travel information and will be available throughout the merger integration process. The tool also helps you understand your boarding pass to accurately identify which carrier you're traveling on and where to find terminal and gate information. On behalf of the 100,000 employees of American Airlines, thank you for flying with us today. We hope to see you soon on a future flight.
