Salisbury University’s beautiful
182-acre campus is located on
Maryland’s scenic and historic
Eastern Shore, just a few hours
from Baltimore, Philadelphia,
and Washington, DC. As a
bonus: Take a break with a trip
to the beach. SU is only a short
drive from the Chesapeake Bay
and the Atlantic Ocean.

(Many students, for example, assist some 8,000
cyclists who flock to the Delmarva Peninsula for
SU’s Sea Gull Century bike ride, celebrating its
25th year this October.)
For 16 consecutive years, Salisbury has ranked
as one of U.S. News & World Report’s Top Public
Regional Universities in the North. The Princeton
Review includes SU
in annual guidebooks
for Best Colleges and
“green” campuses.
Other accolades come
from Kiplinger’s Top
100 “Best Values.”
Faculty earn state
and national teaching
honors. On the playing
field, competitive
teams have earned 17 NCAA Division III national
team championships in field hockey and men’s and
women’s lacrosse.
“These are exciting times at Salisbury University,” Dudley-Eshbach says. “Our reputation as
A Maryland University of National Distinction is
growing.” She continues to lead the way, ushering in
a new era with exciting campus transformations.
Students live and learn in seven LEED Goldand Silver-certified facilities, including the Teacher
Education and Technology Center and a state-ofthe-art new home for the Franklin P. Perdue School
of Business. Also just opened are the Sea Gull
Square apartment and retail complex, renovated
residence halls, and a cutting-edge medical simulation center.
Planning is under way for the new Patricia R.
Guerrieri Academic Commons, a 234,000-squarefoot facility expected to become the hub of campus
life. Features include the library, Nabb Research
Center for Delmarva History and Culture, academic centers serving students and faculty, a flexible
assembly hall, and a Wi-Fi cafe.
An increasing number of students and parents
recognize SU’s value. This fall, nearly 9,000 applied
for only 1,200 slots. The Princeton Review has called
SU “a rising star in the Northeast” and noted its
recent “transformation from regional gem to an
internationally recognized institution.”
