Hundreds of Greenvillians turned out to watch as Academy Awardwinning actors George Clooney and Renee Zellweger received keys to the city at the Westin Poinsett Hotel. 2. Clooney, star of the locally-filmed movie Leatherheads, smiles and signs autographs for fans who came to see the star on his stop in Greenville for a promotional tour. 3. Carolinas Credit Union Foundation awarded a $15,500 Micro Community Grant to Homes of Hope in Greenville, South Carolina. The funds will be used to refurbish two modular homes, as well as provide partial funding for a planned Spring information Fair. 4. For his outstanding advocacy for environmental stewardship, South Carolina State Rep. James Hodges Harrison was awarded the 2007 Public Service Award from the National Association for Clean Water Agencies. Harrison was nominated by Western Carolina Regional Sewer Authority. 5. Greenville residents Judy and Bob Bainbridge were recognized for their decades of service to historic preservation in South Carolina at a fundraiser for the Palmetto Trust for Historic Preservation. 5 6. More than 1,200 women from across the Upstate attended Greenville Hospital System University Medical Center’s fifth annual Every Woman event, a free program that provides health education to women of all ages. 7.
