Her main charge is to get uninsured workers approved and into the CommuniCare program. “It will more effectively allow us to help folks in the Upstate,” Trogdon says. “CommuniCare is certainly aggressively trying to expand our program.” The organization hopes to reach more people in Spartanburg, Pickens and Anderson counties in the coming months and years. “We can choose to close our eyes or choose to do something,” says Trogdon. “I’m really fortunate that I’m able to go to work every day and make a difference in the lives of folks I usually never see.” For more information on CommuniCare, visit their Web site at www.Communicare.org.
