My job has taken me on a variety of small adventures and in doing so, I am in places and have seen things some people will never know about.” Kisha has dreamed of being a reporter since childhood, and she is most happy when a story she’s covered improves someone’s life.” Her dream jobs include reporting for Dateline NBC, making documentaries, becoming fluent in Spanish and eventually winning a Pulitzer Prize. She is heavily involved in her community through organizations such as Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.,Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary, the United Way, Hospice of the Upstate and Cancer Association of Anderson. Her family instilled in her at a young age the necessity of giving back to the community. “There are so many ways that a person can help others in need, and giving of yourself and time is sometimes more appreciated than writing a large check,” she says. aUGUST 2008 | Greenville MaGazine 29
