Greenville Magazine - August 2008 - (Page 34) AJ Theodore iii PresiDent, AJ theoDore iii, cPA, PA Nine years ago life changed drastically for AJ Theodore III. In 1999, his grandfather, John Theodore died in a tragic accident. Later that year, his father Charlie Theodore lost his battle to colon cancer. That meant that at the age of 25 and with tax season just a month away, AJ was left to run the family accounting firm on his own. The knowledge and love given to him by his father and grandfather has helped him to not only survive, but to thrive.Today AJ manages ten employees and over 1,000 clients. “The love my father and grandfather had for this company motivates me every day,” says AJ. “There is not a day that goes by that my father or grandfather’s name does not come up in conversation. They were honest, hard-working people who were loved by so many. It would be an honor to have my name in that conversation as well.” Besides being an accountant, AJ is also following in his father and grandfather’s footsteps by coaching basketball at St. George Greek Orthodox Church. “Our youth is our future,” he says, “and I want to make a positive influence on this generation.” Thomas vanderbloemen oF counsel GAllivAn White & BoyD, P.A.
