In short, the collective group of people that should be using
Search Engine Optimization for "adult beginner golf clinics" is
asleep at the wheel. You have to look pretty hard to find this good
description of Get Golf Ready on pga.com.

If someone does find it, they will also find great, well done
videos of Suzy Whaley going through the 5 lesson components
of Get Golf Ready with two other golfers. Why these videos
don't appear immediately and are not prominently displayed on
the Get Golf Ready site is another question for the SEO masters
at the PGA and the World Golf Foundation.
So what are the chances that the merry pranksters in the Roosevelt Courtyard will find these videos? And then how are they
going to know that Green Valley Ranch and Fossil Creek are
among several places in Denver where Get Golf Ready is available?
In 2015, according to pga.com, Get Golf Ready had 105,000
participants. Unfortunately, no one has updated those numbers.
As you can see above, the promo copy dates from 2014 and the

Suzy Whaley videos are from 2012. I'll be watching closely to
see how many Get Golf Ready PSAs air this weekend during the
PGA Championship compared to Junior promotions and general mentions of the PGA's invaluable instruction services and
their overall contributions to "our great game."
My suspicion is that Get Golf Ready has not been as successful as everybody hoped and the industry is moving on to see
if "digital" golf, along with TopGolf, Drive Shack and simulator
cafes will save us. For golf course owners, "digital" golf does not
guarantee a transition to "green grass" - and there is still a need
for many of the basics covered by Get Golf Ready beyond swing
speed, launch angle, distance and spin.
Moreover, we have also outlined that the promotion of Get
Golf Ready has been mediocre at best. Our suggestion is that Get
Golf Ready needs to be updated to utilize these "digital" tools.
As we have said from the beginning, GGR needs a "free rental"
component and much better promotion before the industry gives
up on the program.
We cannot afford to waste the opportunity to attract new
golfers between the ages of 25 - 44. If we could retain 80% of the
"baby boomers" but only 60% of GenX, we have a problem that
can be fixed. If we properly match these new digital tools to wider
availability of affordable instruction,we have a chance to get more
people hitting more good shots faster - and a lot fewer leaving
the game because they aren't getting better.
