According to Robinette plant manager Paul Freiberg, “The installation was timely, and we were running commercial product in the first week of operation. Taylor, who is remembered as the “Father of Flexo” by his employer Rogers Corp. Taylor began work at Rogers Corp. in 1969 and was inducted into the FTA’s Hall of Fame in 1976 for his contributions to the industry. He was president of FTA during 1978 and helped oversee the dedication of the FTA’s new headquarters in Huntington Station, NY. The FTA still provides a scholarship in Taylor’s name. Trisoft plans to use the new system, which includes a Kodak Trendsetter NX mid imager and Kodak Flexcel NX digital flexo plates, simultaneously with an existing Kodak Thermoflex narrow platesetter. “We’ve been testing the plates produced by the Flexcel NX,” says Tristan Zafra, owner of Trisoft Graphics. “During these blind tests, we processed very complex and demanding jobs, and the…plates repeatedly produced excellent results from a variety of presses and from multiple customers.
