PFFC - November 2008 - (Page 22) NEWS CLIPS Partnering to Serve Different Markets Exopack Successes MATTHEWS, NC | Completing one year of operation under the Exopack banner, Exopack Advanced Coatings reports it is surging ahead with the manufacturing of its core product lines. This news follows relocation of its operations from South Hadley, MA, to Matthews. “The Matthews facility has given us a solid foundation for developing new branded product lines that will be marketed and distributed by us,” says David Neal, VP of North America and Asia. One recent addition is a sheeting line that complements the company’s electronic and other products. Systems and Spooner Industries, Ilkley, West Yorkshire, UK, announce a partnership to provide industrial facilities with a single-source solution for their dryer, oven, and air pollution control needs. Spooner Industries will fabricate and install Anguil oxidizer designs on air pollution control applications throughout Europe. The two companies will work together exclusively to supply oxidizers for European converting, coating, and printing operations. Spooner’s new 60,000-sq-ft facility will be the primary manufacturing location for Anguil oxidizer systems going into Eastern and Western Europe. The local UK fabrication capability will allow Anguil to serve the European region without expensive transportation costs. In the US and North America, existing Spooner customers now will have the assurance of working with a dryer company that has local air pollution control and energy recovery capabilities. Anguil’s service capabilities also will be utilized in America for Spooner customers with emergency or long-term service needs.
