The first season was offered in 1968, and the season was only six days long, and closed at 10 a.m. every day. And, if a hunter took a fall turkey, he was not allowed to hunt in the spring season. Since then, of course, the season and bag limits have been greatly expanded and, in turn, have provided thousands of Keystone State hunters with many fond memories.
