Sand Addiction - August 2007 - (Page 59) correct wiring fittings near the FAST XFI command module – not a really hard task in hindsight. The ZEX nitrous solenoids mount easily under the throttle body in the standard manner. horsepower than without nitrous using the 250 HP shot nitrous with a peak figure of 819 HP and 797 lb. ft. of torque. Most impressively, the ZEX nitrous system showed extreme efficiency; the 250 HP shot delivering over 255 HP. While the numbers were impressive, one of the more interesting results was the shape of the power and torque curves. As opposed to the common “peaky” nitrous power curves, these curves were consistently smooth and broad. Commentary about the curves focused on the fact that they looked like nonnitrous assisted curves in part due to the efficient application of nitrous through the perimeter plate system, another ben- efit to the innovative design. TECH So what’s up next for Theoridis? A new sand buggy with a twin turbocharged 632cid big block engine. Nitrous? Probably –after the amazing positives found with the ZEX system. With that kind of power, we’d hate to be chasing him across the sand. For our test, the paddle tires were removed and more conventional tires used to create proper chassis/dyno contact. It took a large number of hold-down straps to keep the sand buggy in place due to its extensive suspension travel. When finished with our testing, we were impressed with the final results: over 225 more http://warriormfg.com
