SideXSide Action - November 2007 - (Page 24) THEDASH FORTHE Blistering 100+ degrees, Side X Side Racing, and Trophy Karts Racing! This is how I ended up spending my 26th birthday… Not something to brag about unless you’re like me and enjoy hang’n out with a group of awesome race fiends! SXS Nationals Round 1 started the series off with a huge success! Over 40+ Side X Side entries and 25+ Trophy Kart entries made for a great day of racing! I have to give it up to one of my close friends, Ken Johnson, and the Dirt Alliance team for his time and dedication to making this race day a blast! As the sun fell and the temperature dropped to a cool 85 degrees, the track lights came on and the starting line was locked and loaded. Since we were using a track built for quads, some of the jumps weren’t suitable for the Side X Sides. So the track was modified for each class to ensure the safety of the racers. The event was full of huge air, Side X Side rubbing, and take-outs! Some of the results include Chad George taking 1st in the Mod Pro class, Adam Garcia taking the win in the Mod Amateur class, and Mike Bojorquez wining the Super Stock class. This is only the 1st race in the SXS National Series. With a huge $10,000 purse at stake (currently the largest SXS purse up for grabs), I’m sure the spectator and race participant size will only grow as the series progresses! www.sidexsideaction.com Side X Side racers compete in the first round of the Side X Side Nationals, in hope of taking home the $10,000 pro purse.
