SideXSide Action - January 2008 - (Page 10) { FROM THE EDITOR Who Saves For Daylight Time? Well, what can I tell ya? Summer is officially over and by the time you read this, winter will be fully under way. It didn’t really hit me that summer was over. Here in California we’ve still had 90-degree temperatures and brush fires that have blackened the whole sky. Summer is still nipping at my heels, but this morning something happened that forced me to realize that summer is indeed over, well, at least calendar wise. I woke up and I had a whole extra hour due to our Californian style of “falling back” an hour for daylight savings time. It’s really not as big of a deal nowadays with all the clocks being digital. Many of them change themselves. Unfortunately, my internal clock has not been upgraded to the digital format, so at 5 a.m. my body still thought it was 6 a.m. and I was up and ready for a beautiful Sunday. This really only meant two things for an extra hour on Sunday: I could start my honeydoo list earlier and I would have my first beer at 11 a.m., instead of 12 p.m. So, in my mind everyone’s a winner. That’s probably enough about daylight savings time, although I could tell you a couple more interesting facts about how I spent my extra hour, but I think I’ll leave that for another time. } Publisher Editor EDITORIAL Editor-in-Chief Managing Editor Sales Director Sales Dane King / Nick McFayden Marci Gornall / Shari Tatman-Scholte Cody Fletcher Mike Lasher Charlene Bower Web & Graphics Office Manager Contributors Account Manager Melissa Davis Nick Nicholls Heidi Clary Stacy Rye Advertising Information Please contact Charlene Bower at 909-794-4601 or e-mail charlene@pgimedia.net Subcription Help: 1-800-395-7760 HAVE YOU MOVED? Santa Claus is coming to town and he’s bringing toys for all the good little boys and girls, but let’s face it, even the bad kids get presents, right? This issue you might be able to find a couple gifts for those good and bad individuals on your list, with a winter-themed buyer’s guide, new product section, product review section, and a Rhino 450 review with some power upgrades. Also, since it is the end of the year, we thought it was a good idea to introduce some of the 2008 machines that are coming to the market, with a 2008 Side X Side buyer’s guide. Oh!, and just to tease you a little while you’re throwing on that extra layer of clothing before heading out, we pulled together a Hawaiian Adventure trail ride in Maui, with pineapples and everything! It was an educational trip for our sales rep on the growing methods of exotic fruits. “Pineapples grow in the ground!” she tells us.
