SideXSide Action - March 2008 - (Page 22) The Teryx Is On Its Way side x side news [ Podium News] Minneapolis, Dec. 11, 2007 – Jagged X’s Polaris RANGER RZR finished the Best in the Desert season with a bang dominating both the Henderson’s Terrible 400 and finishing first in the 2007 Class Champ Chase. “Winning the grueling BITD series in the first year of production is a great accomplishment for both Jagged X and the RANGER RZR,” said Craig Scanlon, product line sales manager for the Polaris Side x Side Division. “Polaris looks forward to supporting Jagged X’s defense of the BITD championship title next year.” A respectable source has let us know that the Kawasaki Teryx will start hitting dealers at the end of January or first week in February. By the time you read this it will already be February but, hey, we’re getting this stuff as soon as possible. Testing on the new machine out in Johnson Valley proved that this machine can really move, and it’s got the suspension and braking to keep it on the straight and narrow. We’ve been told that backorders on the Teryx have been piling up, so finding a Teryx on the dealers floor will be tough. Make sure to pre-order your Teryx to save yourself the hassle. We have also been told that Dragon Fire Racing has been in possession of a Teryx for product developement of some aftermarket products. So even though the machine will be new, there will be some performance and safety options available for the Teryx. Along with the already developed, and still in developement accessories that will be offered straight from Kawasaki. RANGER RZR wins Henderson’s Terrible 400 and 2007 Class Champ Chase Side X Sides In A Video Game For those of you who haven’t seen, heard, or had the privilege to pick up Rainbow Studios newest game: MX vs. ATV UNTAMED, you’re missing out! The game was released just before Christmas and MX vs. ATV fans were delighted to see that the newest installment of this series has kicked it up a notch. The game not only offers new levels, racing types, and technology, but it also offers gamers some new rides to choose from. My personal favorite is the ORV, which looks like a SXS race vehicle. The new ORV offers gamers a look into the SXS racing world and gives them the chance to drive a race built SXS. One of the things I found most impressive was the game play of the ORV. It handled and drove just like a race built SXS. The vehicle responds to a CVT style clutch with a slower acceleration up hills and off the line and a 50pmh flat ground top speed. The only thing I found unrealistic of the machine was the shifting sound effects. If you haven’t already picked up the game, I highly recommend you go down and pick it up. MX vs. ATV Untamed is available on the following platforms: XBOX360, Plastation2 & 3, Nintendo Wii, and Nintendo DS. Jagged X’s RANGER RZR beat the class at Henderson by almost 11 min and added to its impressive record of three firsts, one second and six finishes in six races. The RZR also finished at the top of the 2007 Class Champ Chase with 506 points, 80 points ahead of the second place finisher. “We are proud to be partnered with Polaris, The awesome Ranger RZR and their continuing commitment and support of our racing efforts have made this seasons success possible,” said Bill Schueler, owner of Jagged X.” Jagged X’s three-man team for the Henderson’s Terrible 400 included Brandon Schueler, Eric Burden and Blake Van De Loo. polarisindustries.com - jaggedx.com 22 SIDE X SIDE ACTION MAGAZINE While we all try to be perfect, sometimes things get by us. In the January Issue of our magazine we made a couple screw-ups with our Mike Follmer article. On the “BUILT FOR IT” page we mistakenly listed Interco’s website for Jet Trim seats, the proper website for Jet Trim is: www.jettrim.com. We also misspelled Mike’s last name on the contents page, it should read Mike Follmer. Sorry for the inconvenience.
