SideXSide Action - March 2008 - (Page 28) UPCOMING 2008: SIDE X SIDE SHOOT-OUT We tested 11 Side X Sides on the market to see how they really stack up. BY CODY FLETCHER READS You’ve been asking for it, so here it comes! We’ve collected eleven Side X Side vehicles to put together our first, and industry first, 2008 Side X Side shoot-out. This January we had the chance to get eleven units from various participating manufacturers and performed numerous tests over the span of two days. Factory reps were on hand to answer any questions we had and lend a hand with some of the technical data collecting. We tested the vehicles in some of the harshest conditions, with some exceeding our expectations, while others left us wanting more. The units were put through some of the roughest terrain, and loaded to the max to see if those numbers on the tags were fact or fiction. Myself, one of our Publishers Nick McFayden, and our contributing editor Jon Crowley had the chance to drive each of the vehicles numerous times, and performed several tests. We rated the vehicles on a scale of 1-5 in select categories, along with giving our own personal likes and dislikes of each SXS in all the different testing. Striving to put ourselves in the front of the pack as your #1 source for everything Side X Side meant that we needed to address the number one question that is on everyone’s mind; “what is the best allaround Side X Side out there?” I’ve put myself on the spot and named an Editor’s Choice for Best All-Around Side X Side vehicle. We will also be giving out other awards in various classes, so be sure to pick up the April 2008 issue to catch all the test results 28 SIDE X SIDE ACTION MAGAZINE 28 www.sidexsideaction.com http://www.sidexsideaction.com
