OUR REVIEW RON’S REVIEW The Mad Dog UTV Gun Scabbard was really easy to install. The gun scabbard uses four plastic adjustable clips to secure to the frame. It has two large pockets and one small pocket, large enough for a box of ammunition. The gun slides into a large hollow pocket and is closed with two adjustable plastic clips. The gun scabbard has good-sized pockets for cargo or gun accessories. The gun I have in there now is a $1,200 Beretta. I wouldn’t trust my gun and scope inside this system on a long trail. The mounting points are nice but they leave too much slack and movement. It’s a good all around system, just not for my expensive or sensitive guns. I’d give it a 6 out of 10. PU PRODUCTS } Gun Rack & Jug Rax Description: The PU Products gun rack system with the jug rax is specifically for your Polaris Ranger. This system utilizes the Polaris lock & ride setup and is very easy to install. The R-plate is coated with Line-X and uses two fin-style grips for the gun rack system. The jug rax slides right into the R-plate and can fit two 5-gallon liquid jugs. The jug rax is made from 1/8” thick aluminum diamond plate. MSRP: $72.00 www.stearnsinc.com OUR REVIEW The PU Products gun rack system uses a lock-and-ride style in the bed of a Polaris Ranger. This is one of the easiest and most secure systems when dealing with installing a rack into the bed of the Ranger. This system is great for the Polaris Ranger. It’s easy to get your gun out in a hurry on the trail. Make sure that the rubber straps that hold the gun are facing outward or towards where you’ll be standing to remove the gun so it’s easier to get out. The cooler/jug rack is nice; the only problem is that it’s facing long ways. This cuts down on your cargo room. Maybe turn it the other way and leave some room for your catch.
