They carry guns, bows, fishing rods, and more. Uses industrial grade double stick tape or industrial grade suction cups. *Mad Dog also sent us the same Fin Grip gun rack but with a two-sided tape mount, instead of the suction cup. Same easy clip-in system, but with a different base mount. We were a little more impressed with the suction cup system because it could be easily moved, but if you wanted something more permanent then this is the way to go. OUR REVIEW RON’S REVIEW Mad Dog’s vehicle suction-mounted gun rack system works well for a Side X Side unit with a cab that has a glass rear window, or in your truck. We took the photo of this system on the hood of the Rhino just for the sake of a photo and had a hard time getting the suction cups off the hood they held so well. The clip that holds the fin grips to the mounting hardware uses a clip system that is easy to get in and out. This is a nice system. The hard rubber hooks that hold the rubber latches work well because they have more of a hook. The fins that hold the gun in place are a little soft and, in an off-road environment, I would worry about the suction cups loosing suction over time. Can be mounted on tubular and composite racks. Soft rubber fins grip, cushion, and protect valuable equipment. Air Ride system provides maximum shock absorption. OUR REVIEW RON’S REVIEW The air ride form fit system is very similar to the other grip systems from Mad Dog but uses a more “V” shaped cup for the gun butt and handle to fit into. We were not able to use the mounts that came with the system because they mounted to a rack on a quad, but we were able to fabricate our own mount that would work with nearly any of these types of cup systems. I really like this system. I’ve been using the “V” shaped racks for years now, but the rack I had didn’t have the fins. I’m changing to these new Mad Dog air ride form-fit dohickies. The rubber fins are a big bonus. They are not too soft but not too hard. The gun doesn’t sit all the way down onto the bottom of the V. These are really good for hood -mounted racks because you can get your gun out quickly when you’re hunting and take care of business.
