SideXSide Action - March 2008 - (Page 44) {Product} Reviews SXS Products PDS Fabrication Gen-2 Seatbase The new GEN2 Seat Bases feature an open center design allowing suspension seats to work the way they were intended, and provide a much improved level of comfort on hard landings and G-outs. The Low Down: $159.00 Plus: Seat base does not work with factory seat belts, new belts must be installed. Minus: Getting the seat lower keeps your head away from the cage. Lets the seat’s suspension travel farther. We designed and engineereed a new urethane bushing that bolts to the bases and slides right in like the factory base. This makes for a very tight, rattle free fit and eliminates the rocking and loose feel of the stock seat base. We also included holes at the front of the bases to allow the use of the factory snubbers to further tighten up the seats and reduce rattles and metal to metal contact. Since the suspension seats raise the occupant, the seat bases help lower the seat and get you back into a lower center of gravity, and away from the roll cage. Body is 4" wider on each side to accomodate long travel kits. The Fullbore plastic body kit for the Polaris Ranger RZR is a great addition to the looks and function of the machine. The kit was able to be shipped to us and all the parts were labeled per instructions. The kit installed within an hour (after taking old plastics off) and all the holes lined up with no drilling required. The fins in the hood and the wider looking stance of the kit really make the RZR stand out in a crowd, not to mention some of the bright color choices. This kit is a must have for those installing a long travel kit on their RZR. The Low Down: Our thoughts: Plus: No drilling required. Wider fenders leave room for more wheel travel and larger tires. Would be nice to be able to choose from a variety of grills, to have a more custom look.
