Craig Scanlon: We are going to defend our title and continue to support Jagged X in the 2008 BitD season in any way we can. We are always trying to learn more about what the vehicle can do and what the consumers are doing with it. Craig Scanlon: Racing is tremendously important. Racing and powersports go hand and hand. The first key for us is racing has to be enjoyable! If we’re not having fun, there’s no need to go out and race. Secondly, it also provides us with a multitude of information that we can use for future product developments and enhancements. You cannot put a price tag on how much we have learned from Jagged X and the rest of our RANGER RZR partners through their racing efforts. SXSA: It seems to me that these partnerships are very important to Polaris. SXSA: How important is racing to Polaris? SXSA: Tell me about your plans for 2008. Craig Scanlon: Tapping into the experience of our partners is invaluable. What’s great is that these relationships go beyond just a partnership. We have developed what I consider great friendships with our partners. We chose specific partners; we wanted the best. In the East we partnered with High-Lifter Products and in the West we partnered with Jagged X, DragonFire Racing, and IMS/Custom Motorsports. This was a pilot program that we launched along with the RANGER RZR. In the past, we have never brought people into the inner circle before. Bill Schueler: This has been a whole team effort. I do have to hand it to Brandon, our driver. He’s got his head on straight and has figured out what it takes to finish races. The other thing that’s great is that everyone on our team is getting better. Practice makes perfect. Bill Schueler: It would have to be the TSCO Vegas to Reno race. At the awards ceremony in Reno they called us up for 1st place and the entire room cheered for the little engine that could. Before the awards ceremony there was a buzz around Reno looking for results and the radios where filled with people trying to figure out how we were doing. SXSA: What has been the highlight of your 2007 season? SXSA: Bill what has been the key to your success? SXSA: Well, thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to spend with us. It seems that you guys are off to a great start and have an outstanding partnership. Congratulations, again, on your hard work in 2007 and I look forward to your continued success in 2008.
