THE CARNIVORES OF CARNAGE: CORR flags wave in the Nevada desert wind at Primm, NV (Top). Carnage is a big part of CORR and anyone who has attended or watched on TV knows that rolls like this are not uncommon (Right). Chula Vista International Raceway, CA Antelope Valley Fairgrounds, CA – A racer and fan favorite, the CV track is just south of San Diego and has the most elevation changes and the highest banked turns in the series. Wide and fun, there are whoops, fly away jumps, and one huge downhill ski jump that has claimed many a truck and buggy racer. The facilities at Chula Vista consist of a smaller, more intimate dirt pit area, with considerable parking available on the hill above the quarry, and a large RV park located a mile from the track. Word has it, Chula will have paved pits for 2008! – Located just north of Palmdale, the track at the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds is a fun track with quite a few flyaway jumps and several whoop sections. AV is a flatter track, without elevation changes but with some fun, high-banked turns that require good line choices to get maximum traction. The facilities here are excellent, as the fairgrounds are very nice, the pit area is completely paved, and the RV park directly adjoins the pit area. CORR TRACK PROFILES LA County Fairplex, CA – Located in Pomona, CA, this is another racer favorite due to its unique combination of dirt and pavement racing along with general location! Racers either love it or hate it, but it will certainly challenge everyone - tire choice is important for maximum traction on such varied terrain. Facilities at the Fairplex are great, with plenty of parking for racers and spectators alike. Texas Motor Speedway, TX – Located in Fort Worth, TX this track was built from a clay track previously used for other types of racing. Like Antelope Valley, this track lacks elevation changes but it makes up for them with its sweeping turns and flyaway jumps. The facilities at TMS are great, as it’s a well built racing facility that is well-known within the racing community. Las Vegas International Raceway, NV – Another racer and crowd favorite, this track located in Primm, NV was built specifically for CORR right next to the Buffalo Bill’s Casino, making it a great venue for everyone. With surprisingly good dirt, this track boasts some fun, high-banked turns and the largest set of rollers in the CORR series. This is a high-speed track where motor and traction make all the difference. The facilities are new and, therefore, dirt at this time, but unique in the way the pit area encircles almost the entire track.
