You conduct your due diligence, looking up comps and preparing a CMA. Armed with your listing presentation, you head out to the property you may be asked to represent. During your meeting, however, you discover that the seller owes more than what your research shows the property likely will sell for and your recognize the possibility of a short sale. Now you’re faced with a choice: will you proceed, taking on a rather lengthy and time-consuming sales opportunity, or would you be better served seeking help elsewhere? The scenario is not unusual these days.
