PROView - March 2008 - (Page 9) $362,750. NAR is still crunching the numbers, but you can expect tens of thousands of more home sales per month using FHA financing once HUD formally administers the new limits. 5. Conforming loans are getting bigger, too. The federal government included higher conforming loan limits in the stimulus package, so borrowers will be able to get favorable, non-jumbo rates on financing up to the same $729,750 limit. The actual high-end limit will depend on the market, and HUD will decide that, because the Fannie and Freddie limits will track FHA. Not only will higher conforming loan limits increase homeownership affordability, but they’ll open the door for homeowners to refinance their jumbo or piggyback financing into a lower-rate conforming loan. You can get more information on the impact of the stimulus bill on housing at www.REALTOR.org. Retrieved from the National Association of REALTORS® at http://narblog1.realtors.org/mvtype/ speakingofrealestate/2008/02/how_your_customers_can_ find_ho.html Editor’s Note: The single-family loan limit for Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas counties is currently $222,300, with an estimated new limit of $292,500. The new loan limit for all three counties per Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, government-sponsored enterprises, (GSE), is estimated at $417,000. We can help you grow your business.
