Consider the following: Single family: Listings are down almost 5% from last year with the number of active listings on the market at the beginning of May at 8,757. Sales, while better than any month in the first quarter, are 10.7% below April last year. Absorption Rate The single family home absorption rate was for April 6.3%, up from 5.4% in March and 4.3% in February.
