PROView - September 2008 - (Page 3) Mandatory Ethics Training If you have not completed your 2005-2008 Quadrennial Ethics Training, now is the time to take care of it. By completing the training you will comply with the mandate of the National Association of REALTORS® that ALL REALTORS® must complete 2 ½ hours of Code of Ethics training once every four years. The second quadrennial cycle runs from January 1, 2005, through December 31, 2008. According to NAR, members who fail to comply will be automatically suspended January 1, 2009, and if they continue in noncompliance, their membership along wth all its benefits will be terminated March 1, 2009. There are two ways to complete the training. First, you can take the course online through NAR’s website at www.realtor.org. Second, you can participate in classroom training at the Pinellas REALTOR Organization during the months of September, October and November. The classes listed below are the last chances to take the training in a classroom. After November 5, 2008, code of ethics training will only be available online. There’s a $30.00 charge for the classroom training in order to cover the cost of materials. Online training is free.
